Where is New Museum funding coming from?
The New Museum will be supported by gifts from the local community, the Puget Sound region, the State and the Nation. Initial gifts include a major grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation along with several other northwest foundations, grants from area banks and businesses, as well as generous leadership gifts from individuals. As a major cultural and educational attraction, the New Hands On Children's Museum on East Bay qualified for Public Facilities District funds and City of Olympia Tourism funds. The project also won a $1M Building for the Arts grant from the State of Washington. We are continuing to work with individuals, businesses and foundations to meet our $18M goal.
Why should I contribute?
To help enrich the lives and stimulate the minds of children through the development of educational programs and interactive learning and to preserve that experience for your kids and grandkids.

What you can. Every dollar raised goes directly to the building of the facility and development of new exhibits and programs.
