Inspired Learning for the Whole Child

At Hands On, we focus on the healthy development of the whole child:  emotional, physical, intellectual and social.  We offer programs for 3 to 5-year-olds designed to support early learning and improve school readiness.

Our theme-based curriculum is designed to engage your child and nurture a love of  learning by offering experiences that are relevant and meaningful to them.

Our play-centered approach is an adaptation of curriculum recommended by area educators.  The Museum relies on its own research and regularly consults with early learning and elementary professionals to ensure that our program exemplifies the "best practices" in education for your child.

Class sessions for preschool are 2.5 to 3 hours long and meet 2, 3 or 4 days per week.  These sessions provide your child with ample time to delve deeply into projects, master new skills and engage in imaginative play.

Pre-K & Kindergarten Enrichment Mixed-Age Program

Our new mixed age class will help prepare Pre-Kindergarten students as well as broaden, enrich, and complement local elementary school ½-day kindergarten programs. Monthly themes will weave academic concepts such as number sense, reading, classifying, writing, and reasoning skills into art, science and movement activities. As your child prepares for or enters Kindergarten we want them to feel confident academically and socially. Our goal is to support this growth in a rich, nurturing environment where children are seen, heard and inspired.

Registration Information:

Registration opens to the public on March 5 at 5:30pm at our annual program  OPEN HOUSE. (Priority registration for currently enrolled families Feb. 27-Mar. 4)  Classes are available for ages 3-5 (children must be 3 years old by Sept. 1, 2013).
