Planning Your Trip

Field trips are scheduled on a space-available basis. Please call at least one week in advance. Field trips can be scheduled Mon-Fri from 9:30 am to 5 pm. Call early for best selection. During peak field trip season (March-June), dates can often fill a month or more in advance.

Length of Your Trip
Field trips typically last two hours. Larger groups or those having lunch at the Museum may require more time. We allow 25-30 minutes for workshop sessions (including transitions) for every 20 children.

Stay for Lunch
When available, space can be reserved for lunch for $10 per half-hour. The space accomodates 20 people, including adults.

Adult Chaperones
You will be required to have one adult chaperone for every five children in your group. All chaperones are admitted free. If you are short on chaperones, please call in advance and we'll provide a staff person for an additional fee.

Accessibility
Attendants of disabled persons are admitted free. All areas of the Museum are accessible.
