HOCM Employee Benefits

Full-Time Salaried Employees

2023 HOCM Employee Benefits include:
Benefits vary by number of regularly scheduled hours worked, length of employment, and employment status.

  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision plans effective on the first of the month following 60 days of employment
  • Employee Assistance Plan (eff. 3/1/2023)
  • Paid Time Off – prorated based on hours worked and years of service – available following 90 days of employment; accrues at a starting rate of 10 hours per month
  • Holidays – 10 paid holidays (4 personal holidays per year accrued quarterly and Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan – eligible after completing 1 year of service and working 1,000 hours within the year; discretionary match of 25% of employee contributions up to 3% of wages.
  • Preschool and Camp Discounts – Employees receive 50% off tuition for camps and 20% for preschool for their children.
  • 10% discount in the Museum Store & Play Day Cafe
  • Paid Parking
  • Following 90 days of employment, employees receive:

Full-Time Hourly Employees

Benefits vary by number of regularly scheduled hours worked, length of employment, and employment status.

  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision plans effective on the first of the month following 60 days of employment – eligible for employees regularly working 30+ hours per week.
  • Employee Assistance Plan (eff. 3/1/2023)
  • Paid Time Off – prorated based on hours worked and years of service – available following 90 days of employment; accrues at a starting rate of .058 hours per regular hours worked (approximately 10 hours/month for a full time employee).
  • Personal Holidays – 6 personal holidays a year, accrued quarterly
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan – eligible after completing 1 year of service and working 1,000 hours within the year; discretionary match of 25% of employee contributions up to 3% of wages.

  • Employee Assistance Plan (eff. 3/1/2023)
  • Paid Time Off – prorated based on hours worked and years of service – available following 90 days of employment; accrues at a starting rate of .058 hours for each hour worked
  • Personal Holidays – accrued quarterly and pro-rated based on regularly scheduled hours worked:  0 – 20 hours/week = 2 holidays/year; 21 to 30 hours/week = 4 holidays/year; 31 to 40 hours/week = 6 holidays/year
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan – eligible after completing 1 year of service and working 1,000 hours within the year; discretionary match of 25% of employee contributions up to 3% of wages.
