We offer plenty of seating for café patrons. If you bring your own food from home, we do have a few tables reserved for this in the café. Please no outside food from other restaurants or vendors in the café.
We ask that food and drink are not consumed in the galleries, including the Outdoor Discovery Center.
Outside the museum: You are welcome to have a picnic in the East Bay Public Plaza in front of Hands On, but please keep food about 5 feet away from the water feature. The East Bay Public Plaza is free for all families to enjoy!
A note about birthdays at Hands On
While we encourage you to celebrate birthdays and other special events with a visit to the Hands On Children’s Museum, the Café space is not available for impromptu parties as it is reserved for Café customers. We have several party rooms available for rent during and after hours for your birthday celebration. Click here to learn more about our Birthday Party Packages.
