The Inspired Chefs Cooking School is a culinary program for kids to learn food prep, kitchen safety, and how to create healthy, delicious food!

  • The Afterschool Program is a six-week course for kids to  chop, mix, and sauté their way through a structured curriculum that builds on skills week by week.

Inspired Chefs: Mother’s Day Practice Brunch – SOLD OUT

For Ages 5-8 | Saturday May 6, 2023 | 9:00–11:30 am
$45 Members/$50 Non-members (one child & one adult)

Bring your grownup and practice making brunch before Mother’s Day! We will learn to flip our pancakes at the just right moment, we will create fruit toppings and whip our own cream, and we will make a refreshing smoothie that your whole family will love, and that you can recreate the following weekend at home!

Full payment is required to register. $15 of program tuition is non-refundable. Remaining tuition and materials fee is refundable for cancellations made at least 2 weeks prior to class date.

Inspired Chefs: Cooking Around the Clock!

For Ages 6-8 | May 3–24, 2023 | Wednesdays, 2:30–5:00 pm
$160 Members/$200 Non-members (child only)

This weekly cooking course is a perfect spot for children to develop their culinary abilities as they chop, mix, and sauté their way through the structured program that builds on skills week by week. Young chefs will explore the world of breakfast foods in week one, work their way through lunch in week two, assemble a dinner feast in week three, and wind it up with some delectable desserts in week four.

WEEK 1 (May 3): Breakfast Bonanza

Learn to mix and flip pancakes and crepes, chop fruit to create toppings, and whip real cream.

WEEK 2 (May 10): Lavish Lunch

Learn to cook pasta and make a yummy cheese sauce, chop veggies and plate them, and make salad dressing for dipping.

WEEK 3 (May 17): Dinner of Delight

Learn to cook pasta, make Spaghetti Bolognese meat sauce, assemble and bake garlic bread, and chop veggies to make a green salad.

WEEK 4 (May 24): Delectable Dessert

Learn to peel and chop fruit, make crunchy oat topping, and bake your own fruit crisp.

Inspired Chefs: Chefs in Charge! (SOLD OUT)

For Ages 6-8 | January 25 – March 1, 2023 |  Wednesdays, 3–5 pm

Young chefs will explore our café menu and cook our greatest hits, learn about food prep and safety, and work together to create delicious meals!

 

WEEK 1 (Jan. 25): Eggsellent Scrambled Eggs

Learn how to crack, whisk, and scramble eggs on the stove top, chop and cut herbs, plate and garnish yummy scrambled eggs.

WEEK 2 (Feb. 1): Versatile Veggie Stir Fry

Learn the tricks and techniques to stir fry vegetables. Rinse and cook rice, wash, chop and grate veggies, sauté and add sauces.

WEEK 3 (Feb. 8): Easy as Pie Baking

Learn to make flaky and delicious pies. Cut butter with flour, roll out dough, create pie filling, and bake.

WEEK 4 (Feb. 15): Ultimate Pizza Party

Learn to make easy pizza from scratch. Roll out dough, spread sauce, grate cheese, cut meat and veggies to create perfect toppings.

WEEK 5 (Feb. 22): Artisan Café Sandwiches

Learn the art of café sandwich making. Choose your bread, cheese, chop veggies and meat, assemble and press with a panini maker.

WEEK 6 (March 1): Tasty Quiche Feast

Combine all your new cooking skills to make, roll and shape dough, crack and whisk eggs, mix ingredients, wash, peel, chop and grate veggies, bake, plate and garnish different quiches.
