Hands On 2U@Home Curiosity Kit Program
We are no longer taking Curiosity Kit orders.
The Museum is open full-time and staff are not making kits at this time.
Research shows that children under the age of eight struggle the most with virtual learning. Instead, they need active, hands-on learning opportunities for proper early childhood development. For this reason, the Museum began providing free or low-cost art and science kits to students in need this past summer.
Demand for these quality kits is growing exponentially and we are now working with dozens of community organizations as well as schools and libraries in five counties to enrich learning. More than 10,000 kits covering 25 topics have been delivered. Requests for 3,000 more are in the works.
If you would like to request a free kit or purchase a kit, see below. If you would like to sponsor a kit, please email awilkening@hocm.org.
