May 8 Alternate Entrance Reminder
On May 8, the Museum will be hosting the Mother’s Day 5K run outside near the front entrance. Please enter through the rear entrance in order to avoid a potentially overwhelming crowd. Families attending Sensory Friendly Hour will still have exclusive access to Museum exhibits at 9 a.m. The lobby will be available again at 9:30 a.m.
Driving: Come in from East Bay/Plum St. Turn left on Olympia Ave. Turn right onto Marine Dr. Take a left on Jefferson and left into the HOCM parking lot.
Important note: Most of the runners will have finished by the time of your arrival. The awards ceremony will be happening by the front entrance resulting in a larger than normal crowd.
Parking
The Museum parking lot is $1.50 per hour.
Please pay at the pay station at the south end of the lot closest to the Museum. You may also pay at the front desk. A vehicle description will be written down instead of a printed parking ticket.
The parking lot may be full on weekends, but metered street parking (free on weekends) is available on surrounding streets.
Museum members can purchase annual parking passes.
Please leave your stroller in your car. We ask that guests do not bring strollers into the galleries to ensure there is room for circulation for all guests. Inquire at the front desk if you have special circumstances.
