Help us continue to make the Hands On Children's Museum, the most visited Children's Museum in Washington! Our volunteers are an important part of making our Museum a great place for families. We are always looking for applicants who are outgoing, flexible, patient, love to work with children and can make a commitment of at least 30 hours per year. See below for a list of current volunteer opportunities. The process begins by submitting your application, a criminal background check form, followed by a personal phone interview. If accepted, you will be asked to attend an orientation session.

Please remember that volunteer placement is a selective process, and not all participants are accepted into the program. The Museum reserves the right to place volunteers in the area staff feels is best suited to the applicant's skills, and needs of the Museum.

The Hands On Children's Museum offers:
  • Volunteer positions starting at age 13 for a variety of interests and skill levels
  • Opportunities to gain valuable experience to include on your resume
  • Opportunities for individuals, groups and school classes
  • Special project opportunities
  • School credit for community service
  • Formal internships for both high school and college students
  • Volunteer opportunities for working and retired professionals

To learn more about volunteering, you can follow us on Facebook, email us at volunteers(at)hocm.org or call the museum at 360.956.0818 x109.
